Episode #81 - “Live from Dragon*Con 2009″
Here is our LIVE podcast from Dragon*Con 2009, with special guest Richard Hatch! We opine about the new BSG movie project and discuss what makes Battlestar Galactica appealing as a franchise. We ask what other viable BSG spinoffs there could be, and what fans would like to see in the Caprica series.
We had a great audience that brought terrific viewpoints to the discussion. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us!

This is our live panel discussion at Balticon 2009. We’re joined by best-selling horror/scifi author Scott Sigler to discuss the BSG finale and gauge people’s reactions to the show’s ending.
We had several participants from the audience give their opinions, and we also polled them about whether they had interest in “Caprica” or “The Plan.” The results were surprising!
Thanks for all who came out and attended! It was great meeting you.

No commentsBack from Dragon*Con
If you are new to the podcast, welcome! We have just returned from Dragon*Con and have tons of audio and video material to edit, so please give us a few days and we’ll have something out as soon as possible.
Upcoming Interviews
I usually don’t pre-announce when we have interviews coming up, but this time I’ll let the cat out of the bag: We sat down with Tahmoh Penikett to discuss Helo and his new show, “Dollhouse.” Look for that very soon.
And–there is one other interview that I got that I will keep as a surprise. It’s a big one, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
Video Podcasts and more
Also upcoming–I shot quite a bit of video and snapped a couple hundred photos, so there will be multiple video podcasts in the production pipeline. Video takes a while to edit, so please be patient as they will take a while to produce.
There’s more. We have audio from several of the BSG Q&A panels from Dragon*Con. We also are going to be talking about some of the returning fall TV shows. We are going to do another Townhall Podcast. And there’s some news about the BSG DVD movie and tidbits about Season 5 (aka Season 4.5).
Parsec Award
One final note: as shown in the post below, we were honored to win the Parsec Award for Best Fan Podcast. I want to thank all our fans, my fellow Quorum members, and the BSG cast that have been kind enough to give their time for us. The award is immensely gratifying, but you make it fun. Thank you all so much.

Saturday night is the Parsec Awards ceremony (we’re finalists for the Fan Podcast award), and later that evening is the Colonial Fleet party.
If you happen to see Brian or Michele (the two on the right side of the top graphic of this page), be sure to say hi!
